New Coats!
Hoi An is particularly well known for its tailored clothes, however as Andy and I already have almost more stuff than we can carry we were stoic in our refusal to be drawn into any of the tailor's shops. For almost a whole day in fact. Then we had dinner and a couple of glasses of wine and the 32 degree heat reminded us that we need winter jackets, especially as we are headed for the equator and then summer in the southern hemisphere....
Rachel (pictured here with the designers) is modelling the tailored-to-fit coat from the Winter '06 collection, in forest green wool with red piping, and lined in crimson silk with wooden toggle buttons and inside zip for added warmth, costing the grand sum of US$25.
Andy has on the Fall '06 brown corduroy smart/casual men's jacket with a fawn silk lining and button down inside pocket, also made to measure, coming in at a princely $22.
